Hockey ACT Sports Lighting

Capital Bond Electrical delivered a major LED sports lighting upgrade across two key Hockey ACT venues – Lyneham and Greenway. The project involved the removal of 140 outdated light fittings and the installation of new cabling and infrastructure, along with 92 AAA-LUX Australia LED floodlights across three playing fields.

Lighting levels were designed to meet high-performance and broadcast standards, with Carter Oval upgraded to 1000 lux to support televised professional games, and Powell and Kjar Fields upgraded to 500 lux for competitive and training use.

All fittings were commissioned using the AAA-LUX InControl wireless lighting management system, providing centralized, real-time control over dimming, scheduling, and lighting zones via a secure web-based platform, accessible from both desktop and mobile devices.

The entire project was delivered within a tight seasonal transition window, ensuring a seamless handover and zero disruption to Hockey ACT’s scheduled fixtures.
